On May 25th, the SDG Affinity Group zoomed into the practice of one of Canada’s TVET institutions that has signed the SDG Accord and taken action to implement the SDGs in all aspects of their work. A panel of Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) SDG leads shared their approach, successes, challenges and future plans while highlighting the intersections between the 17 goals in five topic areas: facilities, academic, applied research, international, equity and inclusion
NSCC President Don Bureaux and CICan CEO Denise Amyot both shared a few inspirational opening remarks on the value of the SDGs for Canada’s TVET sector.
Continued engagement and discussion after the meeting will occur in the UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET Forum.
