The National Council for the Federal Network of Vocational, Scientific and Technological Education Institutions (Conif), Brazil, hosted the‘ Embracing Indigenous knowledge in teaching TVET’ webinar and shared some of their member institutes’ experiences of working with Indigenous students and learning from the Indigenous communities. Guest speakers from Brazil, Canada and the USA contributed to this webinar and raised the awareness of diversity and misunderstandings about Indigenous people across the Americas. This webinar aimed to share rich experiences of building better relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous educators and students; and mobilize professional and technical education in embracing Indigenous knowledge to provide students with intercultural competencies and prepare them for global citizenship.
