The World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) and the Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA) are proud to present the WFCP 2026 World Congress, taking place in Kenya in November 2026.

The main Congress will be held from 23–26 November 2026, preceded by a two-day Leadership Institute (21–22 November 2026) and accompanied by a Youth Camp from 23–26 November 2026. Delegates are also encouraged to plan their travel to allow participation in optional excursions and benchmarking activities on Friday, 27 November 2026.

This marks the first time the Congress will be hosted on the African continent, offering a historic opportunity to spotlight Africa’s leadership and innovation in technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

The 2026 Congress will be held under the theme:
Building Skills for Sustainability, Innovation, and Global Employability

In a world shaped by rapid technological change, the climate crisis, and shifting labor markets, the Congress will focus on how TVET and applied education systems can drive sustainable growth, support green and digital transitions, foster entrepreneurship, and create pathways to decent work for learners worldwide. Key discussions will center on innovation in teaching and learning, skills for the green and blue economies, youth entrepreneurship, AI-ready skills, and inclusive approaches to skills development.

Hosted by ATUPA, the Congress will bring together:
• Leaders of colleges, polytechnics and technical universities
• TVET educators and administrators
• Industry and employer partners
• Government and policy makers
• Development agencies and global networks
• Student leaders and young entrepreneurs

The program will feature high-level plenaries, interactive parallel sessions, opportunities for partnership-building, and dedicated activities such as a Youth Camp and a Leadership Institute.

Further information on registration, the call for proposals, keynote speakers, the Youth Camp and the Leadership Institute will be shared in the coming months.
