The Institute of International Education (IIE) is expanding it’s work with Abobe through a new scholarship – the Adobe Design Circle Scholarships program. These scholarships will help reach untapped youth communities and foster more diversity in the design industry. The program targets students who want to enter product design or experience design-related careers (e.g. digital, web, UX/UI, industrial design, or similar), with a special emphasis on supporting students from underrepresented communities in the industry, including, but not limited to, racial or ethnic minorities, females, those who identify as LGBTQ+, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities.
The scholarship is open to undergraduate-level students from any country in the world. Ten students will be selected to receive up to $25,000.00 per year for a maximum of four years of their education, totaling up to $100,000.00 over the course of four years. Scholars will also be offered mentorship opportunities with the Design Circle members, such as shadowing, internships, workshops, networking, among others. This will help strengthen the impact of the scholarship while providing real-world experience to the scholarship recipients during their education.
The first cohort of Design Circle Scholars will be announced in May. Any questions can be addressed to AdobeScholarship@iie.org
Application Deadline: March 12, 2020
