Saturday, April 13: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Presented by AACC and Educause
Not a day goes by without a news media report of a data breach. No matter the defenses employed, it seems inevitable that an information security event will happen on campus. This session will briefly explore the current state of data breaches in higher education and the threats facing campuses today, review the information security incident response process and highlight the parts of the response process that college leaders must know, and discuss data protection strategies. The purpose of the session is not to scare, but to inform participants and help them to think strategically about the information security and data privacy issues facing community colleges today.
