Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute

Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute (YPI) is a public higher vocational college approved by Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government with a history of 42 years. YPI trains mainly three-year and full-time higher vocational students and aims at cultivating high quality application-oriented graduates. Now, YPI is a model of higher vocational college and an advanced unit of vocational education in Jiangsu, as well as a national advanced unit of vocational colleges in innovation and entrepreneurship education.
YPI sits on Yangzijin Science and Education Park in Yangzhou City, covering a total area of 1,027 mu, with a construction area of 400,000 square meters. There are over 12,000 students on campus and nearly 400 international students. At present, there are 13 academic departments with 40 specialties covering the professional fields of chemistry, architecture, manufacture, transportation, information engineering, design and business. The picturesque campus, with beautiful landscapes and favorable academic atmosphere, is an ideal place to study and research.
Adhered to the development strategies of internationalization, YPI has reached plenty of remarkable results in the recent years on international cooperation and exchange, such as teachers’ international training programs, student-exchange projects, oversea students’ education and intercollegiate-cooperation flagship projects, in order to deepen the international cooperation and meet the various requirements of the high-quality cultivation and development goals. YPI was granted the ‘top 50 international influences of vocational colleges nationwide’ for three consecutive years (2017-2019), was selected into ‘China-ASEAN 100+100 Institutional Cooperation Flagship Programs’ (2019), and was awarded the bronze medal of Excellence for the category of ‘Students Support Service’ of World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) in 2016.

YPI has been forging ahead on internationalization of higher vocational education and has accomplished great achievements. Joint cooperation cultivation programs has been undertaken with more than 100 overseas institutes, colleges and research organizations in Australia, France, South Korea, Canada, Singapore, Germany, U.K. and other countries and regions. YPI is seeking to expand international cooperation and communication in the following areas:
