Jinhua Polytechnic
Jinhua Polytechnic covers more than 146.7 hectares, with a gross floor area of 690,000 square meters. The college possesses nearly 1.8 million copies of books, 13 faculties, one affiliated hospital, 60 majors, more than 300 experimental training rooms, more than 800 off-campus teaching and scientific research bases, and 535 Chinese government authorized patents. At present, the college employs more than 1300 professional teachers, which includes over 100 professors and about 320 associate professors, and there are more than 24,000 full-time students.
Jinhua Polytechnic has established long-term cooperative relationships with overseas universities and educational institutes from more than twenty countries and areas, such as USA, UK, Canada, Ukraine, Australia, New Zealand, France, Egypt, South Africa, Finland, UAE, Singapore, Indonesia, Rwanda, and Cameroon, including areas in teachers’ training, scientific research collaboration, student exchanges, Sino-foreign joint programs and other projects.
As Chinese education continues to open up, Jinhua Polytechnic will further broaden the field of international communication, actively promote the internationalization of education, and enhance international influence. Jinhua Polytechnic plans to strengthen the quality of Sino-foreign programs; to attract more overseas students to gain diplomas; to enable more teachers to receive longer training abroad; to increase students exchange programs; and to fortify the management of foreign teachers. With the guidance of the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative, we will make every effort to enhance the internationalization of education and soft power of Jinhua Polytechnic.
Areas of Interest for Partnership
The WFCP is a unified voice enabling members to access information and experience and learn from each other and share best practice. In the coming years, we want to develop “Education for Sustainability” to promote the sustainable development of vocational education. In addition, we also want to share the results and outcomes of applied research projects undertaken by our institution, as well as exemplary practices related to applied research and innovation to other memberships; last but not least, sharing knowledge and experience in the development of higher-level professional and technical qualifications to meet the demands of the workforce.
