Response to COVID-19
COVID-19 is disrupting many aspects of life in most countries. Committed to learn from each other, WFCP members share best practices they use to respond to the challenges and changes posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- WFCP members from the Basque Country, the UK, Canada, Brazil and China shared their experiences, successes and challenges at this unprecedented time in March/April issue of Dispatch.
- American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) shares podcasts, webinars and many other resources on COVID-related topics.
- Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) shares free resources to aid faculties with the transition from traditional, in-person education to an online experience due to COVID-19.
- CICan tells the stories of its members that have mobilized and shared their resources and expertise in remarkable ways to help people in their communities.
- Association of Colleges (AoC), the UK, developed Coronavirus Resource Hub to provide guidance and resources for college staff.
- FPEmpresa and Fundación Bankia launched a web-portal with digital educational resources for Vocational Training teachers. The portal is regularly updated and hosts webinars and training.
- The Instructional Technology Council (ITC), an affiliated council of American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), shares guidance and various resources on remote teaching: https://www.itcnetwork.org/covid-19-resources
- Instituto Federal de Goiás (Federal Institute of Goiás, IFG), Brazil, has been applying different resources to enable remote activities, combining knowledge, technology and solidarity to engage in the fight against the virus. - Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio de Janeiro (The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio de Janeiro, IFRJ), Brazil, has 15 campuses in the State of Rio de Janeiro. - Federal Hospital of State Servers is the first to receive a donation of 70% alcohol produced by IFRJ
