The WFCP is looking for enthusiastic students to participate in this year’s Youth Camp that will run from September 19th – 25th to correspond with the 2016 WFCP World Congress in Vitória, Brazil. Students who attend the Youth Camp will have an opportunity to meet their peers from around the world, visit local institutions in the province of Espírito Santo, participate in cultural activities, attend the World Congress, and take part in discussions framed by the Sustainable Development Goals with leaders in professional and technical education and training (PTET).

The first WFCP Youth Camp was held in Beijing in 2014 to coincide the 2014 World Congress. Participants described the camp as life changing and said the camp gave them valuable insight into the applied education sector and the importance of PTET worldwide. Just as in Beijing, the 40 student participants will produce a “Voice of the Youth” presentation for the Closing Ceremonies of the World Congress – this time as a video that they will produce during the Congress.

Registration, lodging, transportation to activities, food and reception at the Vitória Airport are included for the selected students. Flights and other related travel expenses are not covered.

To learn more about the Youth Camp please visit the World Congress website.

Registration begins on April 29th and the deadline to apply is May 29th, 2016. Those interested in registering a student for the event should contact the Secretariat of WFCP.
